progRESsHEAT webinar on 24 June: Assessing the potential for combined heat and power in EU member states – insights from Austria and Germany

The EU Energy Efficiency Directive requires Member States to assess potentials for Combined-heat- power applications and district heating solutions based on regional information. Most member states have submitted assessments to the Commission. The methods used and the level of detail, however, varies substantially across countries.

The progRESsHEAT project consortium invites you participate in a webinar on 24 June 2016. It will present the requirements of the Directive with regard to heating and cooling planning and provide a brief overview of assessments.

The assessments are shown for two selected Member States: Austria and Germany. For Austria the focus will lie on GIS-based assessment of CHP potentials, while for Germany the focus will be on the cost-benefit assessment for industrial CHP. Both presentations are held by the authors of the studies.

Room for questions and answers is reserved at the end of the webinar.
The webinar will be held in English.

Target audience:
Decision makers, planers and consultants from public administration, industry, utilities and energy agencies as well as research community
